WHAT THE CONFERENCE IS

Lauan Science and Engineering Conference aims to provide professional development to male university students who major in any science or engineering course. It seeks to be a hotbed of tomorrow’s big professionals and positive shapers of the country’s and the world’s scientific and technological future.

The mission of this conference is to contribute to putting the Filipino scientists, engineers and technologists on the world map.

We endeavor to work on this because:

• We envision a Philippines deeply rooted in science, producing high-class and novel ideas, and a leader in its own right in the field of science, technology and engineering.
• We envision a Philippines creating technology-generated wealth and putting up technology-based enterprises that provide more job opportunities.
• We envision a Philippines producing more world-class technopreneurs, scientists, engineers, and industry leaders, highly respected and making big waves the world over, ethical and have a deep spirit of service.

OUR STRATEGY

Our strategy is to train the best male students in the field of science or engineering who are the emerging Filipino scientists, engineers and technologists and help them become tomorrow’s renowned professionals and big leaders in the industry, academe and society.

Specifically, we work to:

• Bring together into one community all talented people – students and professionals alike – from the field of science and engineering and facilitate an opportunity for mentoring, dialogue and networking among them.
• Encourage all the promising students to pursue graduate studies in prestigious universities for we believe that higher education will provide them better competitive edge.
• Provide the students high-quality courses, programs, seminars and workshops they need for their professional development.
